I cannot paste the activation key into the Activate text box.

Make sure your software is up to date. Click on the Help > Check for Updates command to download and install the latest update. Make sure your anti-virus software is not blocking access to the Windows clipboard. Also make sure you are not copying any characters after the last character in the subscription key. For example, most keys end with a equals (=) sign. Do not copy and page return characters or spaces after the last equals sign or key character. When you paste the key into the Activate text box and it does not appear, press the Backspace key on the keyboard once or twice to make sure you have not copied any characters past the end of the subscription key. The key should appear in the text box once all characters have been removed past the end of the key.
