How do I change the default size or scale of irrigation symbols?
When placing symbols on the design screen, it is sometimes necessary to increase or decrease the size of the symbols based on the desired output scale. For example, lets assume that you are designing a project that you will print or plot at a 1" = 30' scale. It may be necessary to increase the size of the symbols when they are placed on the design screen to make them more legible when printed to a sheet of paper. A scale factor of 2 will enlarge a symbol to twice its original size. A scale factor of 0.5 will make the symbols one half their original size. We recommend that you place several symbols on the design screen and output the drawing to the printer or plotter to determine what setting is best for your project before getting started with the design.
To adjust the symbol scale factors:- Click on the Tools > Options command.
- Click on the Irrigation tab.
- In the Symbol Scale Factors area, enter a value in the text box associated with each different type of symbol.
- To adjust existing symbols that are already on the design screen, enter the new Symbol Scale Factors and click on the Apply button.
- Click on the Close button to close the dialog box.
