I receive an error when starting a new drawing.
If you receive an error message similar to the following when opening a new drawing, there is a setting that holds the values for the last window size that is not set correctly.
An Unhandled exception has occurred in your application - '-X' is not a valid value for property 'X'.
Please follow these instructions to resolve the issue:
- Click on the Windows Start button and under Programs > Accessories choose Run.
- In the Run dialog box, type regedit in the text box and click on the OK button. This should open the Registry Editor.
- In the Registry Editor left hand pane, navigate to the folllowing folder for the type of Windows you have installed:
Windows 32-bit: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Software Republic\Pro Contractor Studio 1\FormSettings
Windows 64-bit: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Software Republic\Pro Contractor Studio 1\FormSettings
- In the right hand pane find a record named CsDocument.
- There are five sets of numbers seperated by a comma. The first two numbers are the X and Y coordinate of where all new drawing will open. The 3rd and 4th numbers are the width and height of the document and the last number is whether it's a normal window, minimized, or maximized window. If any of these numbers have a negative value they need to be reset.
- To reset the value, right click on the CsDocument record and choose Modify. Set the value to: 0,0,600,500,0
- Click on the OK button and then close the Registry Editor.
- Restart Pro Contractor Studio and you should be up and operational.
