I cannot download updates to the software or I receive a server not responding error message.
This is most likely caused by a firewall setting that is blocking the program from accessing the Internet. Typically when a program needs access to the Internet you will get a prompt telling you and then asking you if you want to let it have access. You will need to check in the settings for whatever firewall program you are using (Windows Firewall, McAfee, Norton, etc.) and tell it to unblock the PCS main exe file. Here's an example on how to do this with Windows Firewall in Windows Vista or 7:- Click on the Windows Start button and open the Control Panel.
- Under Control Panel > Security > Windows Firewall choose Allow a program through Windows Firewall.
- You can then click the Add Program button and select the Pro Contractor Studio executable (.exe) file.
