The Zone numbers do not appear.

If the Zone numbers do not appear and the layers are turned on, the attribute display is set to invisible. Select View > Display > Attribute Display and then ON or type attdisp in the command line and press enter. At the "Enter attribute visibility setting [Normal/ON/OFF] :" prompt, type ON and press enter. The attributes should then become visible.
