When I insert a sprinkler into a drawing it does not appear on the design.
First make sure the layer for the category of sprinkler is turned on. You may also want to turn on the arc pattern layer.
If the layers are turned on and you still do not see the symbol, the block that has already been inserted into the drawing to represent the sprinkler may be ruined.- Start a new blank drawing.
- Insert the one copy of the sprinkler onto the new drawing.
- Open the AutoCAD > Tools > Block Manager command.
- You will see the name of the block in the manager. It will be something that looks similar to the following: SPR-SPRpy1r05g-SNB6qk61ky-180-37.99-0
- Copy the block name and return to the original drawing.
- Using the AutoCAD Quick Select command, select all blocks on the drawing with the same name.
- Erase the selected objects from the design screen.
- Use the AutoCAD Purge command to remove the blocks from the drawing. Use the command a couple of times because the blocks have nested symbols.
- Try placing the sprinkler again now that the ruined blocks have been removed from the design.
