How do I move all entities on a layer to a new layer assignment?
- Write down the layer name on which the entities are drawn, or copy the layer name from the Explore Layers command in the AcceliCAD Settings menu.
- Type Change in the Command Line and press Enter, or select the Change command from the AcceliCAD Modify menu.
- At the Select entities to change: prompt, type Pro and press Enter.
- At the Select by properties: prompt, type Layer and press Enter.
- At the Layer name(s) to select <*>: prompt, type the layer name from step one and press Enter or click in the Command Line and press the Ctrl+V keys to paste the layer name and press Enter.
- At the Select by properties: prompt, click in the Command Line and press Enter. It is very important that you click in the Command Line before pressing Enter. Pressing Enter alone will end the command and you will need to start over.
- At the Change: Entities/Properties/: prompt, type Pro and press Enter.
- At the Property to change: Color/Elevation/LAyer/LType/ltScale/LWeight/Thickness: prompt, type Layer and press Enter.
- At the New layer : prompt, type in the name of the new layer assignment and press Enter.
- At the Property to change: Color/Elevation/LAyer/LType/ltScale/LWeight/Thickness: prompt, press Enter to end the command.
The selected entities should now be on the new layer assignment.
If you just need to move a few entities to a new layer assignment and not all entities on the layer:
- Select the entities on the design screen using the mouse.
- Click on the Properties command from the AcceliCAD Modify menu.
- In the Properties dialog box, change the Layer assignment in the top left corner of the dialog box and click on the OK button to exit the command.
