When I try to save my drawing I receive a message, "Your drawing contains invalid data."

The problem may be occuring because the Building line style color was set to ByLayer in the Line Styles Database by accident.

1. Start the Databases > Line Styles command.
2. Set the Building Line Color to a color of your choice.
3. Save the database.

This will not solve the problem in your current drawing, but it will prevent the message from popping up in the future. The current drawing will save but it will not contain the building lines. To correct the problem on the existing drawing:

1. Type Purge in the command line and press the Enter key.
2. At the Purge: baTch/All/Blocks/Dimstyles/LAyers/LTypes/STyles: prompt, type All and press Enter.
3. At the Enter name(s) to purge <*>: prompt, press the Enter key to purge all unused entities and layers.

You should now be able to place new building lines and save them with the drawing.
