My cursor does not move smoothly across the design screen. It jumps from one place to another.

The most likely reason is the Snap Grid is enabled in DesignCAD. Open the DesignCAD Options dialog box and click on the Grid tab. Make sure that Snap Grid is disabled.

Another possible reason is the cursor step size. In the DesignCAD Options dialog box, click on the Cursor tab. The default settings for the Cursor Step are Relative to Drawing with a Large Step Size of 1 and a Small Step Size setting of 0.10.
