If you are receiving an error message such as "Error opening project data file" or "Run-time error '3709': The connection cannot be used to perform this operation" when trying to perform functions or calculations in RainCAD™, there may be a problem with the software connecting to the project database.
First make sure you are running the latest version of the software. Check your version number from the About screen located in the Help menu in RainCAD™. Compare the version number to the latest update available from the Downloads link on our web site. If you are not running the latest version, download the update and install it on your computer system. Try the command again to see if the problem is solved.
If you continue to have problems connecting to the database, download and install the latest Jet 4.0 Service Pack from Microsoft®.
