When trying to start certain commands, I receive a run-time error that says, "Operation must use an updatable query" or "This Recordset is not updateable."

The *.dat file that is created by RainCAD stores information such as water source and zone assignments for irrigation design, and area and volume information for landscape designs. If this file is set to read-only, or if it is located in a directory that is set to read-only, you will receive the run-time error.

To solve the problem, make sure the file attributes are not set to read-only. If the dat file is located on a drive that is read-only, remove the read-only attribute from the drive or move the dat file to a drive that is not read-only.
