Can I save my drawings so they can be opened in RainCAD™ 6.0 or an earlier version?
Yes, you can save the drawings as a *.dc2 file which can be opened in most previous versions of the software.
- Open your drawing on the screen in DesignCAD.
- Choose Save As from the File menu in DesignCAD.
- Change the "Save as type" selection to DesignCAD 2D ASCII.
- Change the extension on the drawing to filename.dc2.
You can then open the drawing in RainCAD™ 6.0 and resave it as a *.dw2.
The 6.0 program will not recognize any of the sprinklers, valves, pipe, etc. They will all just be lines on the drawing as far as the software is concerned.
