If you are using the same nozzle for quarter, half and full circle sprinklers, it is
very important that each group is assigned to a separate control valve. Full circle
sprinklers should not be on the same control valve with half circle or quarter circle
sprinklers if they are all using the same nozzle.
Precipitation rate formulas require the flow of a full circle sprinkler. In a case
where you are determining the precipitation rate for quarter circle sprinklers, determine
the flow through the nozzle and multiply that flow times four to calculate the flow of a
full circle sprinkler. If you are using half circle sprinklers, multiply the flow through
the nozzle by two to determine the flow of a full circle nozzle.
