The run time for some stations seems to be too long. What can I do to lower the run time?

To adjust the length of a station run time:

1. Click on the Scheduling pull-down menu.
2. Choose Specific Station Information.
3. Change to the desired station using the arrows in the bottom left corner of the dialog box. The current station number is display at the top of the dialog box.
4. Check to make sure the root depth of the plant is not too deep. The deeper the root depth, the longer the station run time. Remember, seventy percent of the moisture extracted by the roots occurs in the top fifty percent of the root zone.
5. Either increase the precipitation rate of the sprinklers, or decrease the infiltration rate of the soil. Long run times usually indicate that the precipitation rate of the sprinklers is extremely low, or the soil can accept the water at a faster rate than it is being applied.
