The Snap Grid command restricts the movement of the cursor to intervals based on the selected Units of measurement. The cursor appears to adhere or "snap" to the rectangular grid. Snap is useful for specifying precise points when drawing with the mouse.
To specify the snap grid distance:

Click on drop down arrow to the right of the Snap icon.

Click on the desired selection.
Note:

When Feet is selected as the units of measurement, the Snap Grid is set to Inches or Feet. When Meters is selected as the units of measurement, the Snap Grid is set to Centimeters or Meters.

Select OFF from the Snap drop down menu to disable the snap grid.

You can snap to entities on the design screen using the Entity Snaps feature.
