The Report Configuration command will allow you to adjust the settings used to create the material takeoff or estimate/proposal. You may select the fields to appear within the material/estimate report and the order of their appearance. For irrigation designs, you can choose from several methods to calculate fittings.
To adjust the configuration settings for the report:

On the Material/Estimate Configuration dialog box, click on the Report Configuration tab.

To create a material list / estimate for one or more groupings, select each group in the Create box. Click on each selection with the left mouse button until a checkmark appears in the box. Unselected groups will not be included in the report.

To include additional information in the report, select each option in the Options box. Click on each selection with the left mouse button until a checkmark appears in the box. Adjust the following options as necessary:

Company Information
|
This feature will print your company's contact information at the top of the report. Enter your company information in the Company Information database.

Tax Direct Labor
|
In some areas, it is necessary to tax the labor for installation in addition to the materials. To tax the labor as well as the materials, enable this feature. The sales tax rate is set on the Project Information tab.

Apply Discount Rate
|
To calculate the wholesale cost of an item, click on the Apply Discount Rate checkbox with the left mouse button until a checkmark appears in the box. The program will calculate the wholesale cost based on the List Price and Discount Rate set for each item in the databases. If a checkmark does not appear in the box, the program will not apply the discount rate to the list price of each item.

Fill Materials by Area
|
To list fill material items by each area, click on the Fill Material by Area checkbox with the left mouse button until a checkmark appears in the box. To display fill materials as a total sum per each type, click on the checkbox until the checkmark is removed.

Show Part Number
|
To display the part number associated with the materials, click on the Show Part Number checkbox with the left mouse button until a checkmark appears in the box. If a checkmark does not appear in the box, the program will not display the part number.

Show Plant Care General Notes
|
To included the general notes along with plant care information, click on the Show Plant Care General Notes checkbox with the left mouse button until a checkmark appears in the box.

In the Fittings Calculation location, click on the down arrow to view a list of the available selections. Select a method of calculating irrigation fittings from the resulting menu by clicking on the selection with the left mouse button. If Calculate as Percent of Pipe is chosen, enter a percent of pipe cost in the % of Pipe text box. For example, enter a percent of pipe cost of 15 percent as 15.00 and not 0.15. The percentage is based on a percent of the for the pipe as entered in the Equipment Costs command.

The fields available to appear in the Estimate / Proposal report are shown in the Report Field Configuration listing. The fields are displayed in the order in which they will appear on the report. You may adjust the order by clicking on a field name and clicking on the up or down arrow buttons. The Material List report will only display the Quantity and Description for each item. To remove a field from the report, click on the checkbox to the left of the field name until the checkmark is removed.

In the Landscape Settings area, select to display the Common Name, Botanical Name, Common Name/Botanical Name, or Botanical Name/Common Name from the Plant Name Type drop down menu by clicking on the selection one time with the left mouse button.

In the Report Output Settings area, adjust the settings as necessary. To view a material list or estimate on the entire drawing, from the Calculation Type drop down menu, select Calculate from entire drawing. Select Calculate from current sheet to only count the entities on the current selected drawing sheet.
From within the Report Format drop down menu, you may send a report to the printer as a Microsoft� XPS file or an Adobe� PDF file. You may also export the information to a Microsoft� Excel format or a comma delimited text file.
From the Report Output drop down menu, select View Report to open the contents of the report in the selected report format. Select Send to file to export the contents of the report to a physical file location. After clicking on the View Material List button or the View Estimate / Proposal button, change to the folder where the file is to be located on the computer and click on the Save button.

Click on the View Material List button to preview the quantity and description of all items in the report, or click on the View Estimate / Proposal button to the view the pricing information.

Click on the Plant Care button to generate a report on the plant material along with any associated image files, species information and general notes.

Click on the Close button to exit the command.
