If the computer is not connected to the Internet, write down the Machine ID number EXACTLY as it appears in the PCS Subscription dialog box.

Write down the Machine ID that appears on your computer.

Locate a computer with Internet access and log onto the Software Republic web site at http://www.softwarerepublic.com/pcs/account.aspx.

Under the Create new Account title bar, enter your email address as the User ID and enter a Password of your choice.

Click on the Create New Account button.

Enter the information in all of the text fields. You must enter your first and last name, the billing address including the postal code, and your telephone number. You cannot change the email address / User ID.

A new account will be created. If necessary, make any changes to the account information and click on the Update Account Information button.

You must register a computer under the current account before you may purchase an activation key for the machine. You may register more than one computer per account. Click on the Register a New Machine ID link near the top of the web page.

Enter the Machine ID number exactly as it appears in the PCS Subscription box when you start the software. Make sure to enter the Machine ID exactly as it appears in the PCS Subscription dialog box. If the Machine ID is entered incorrectly, the purchased activation key will not unlock the software on your computer.

Enter a Machine Description used to identify the computer on your Account Management page. For example, a description may read John's Laptop, Main Office Desktop, or Home Computer.

Once a Machine ID has been registered under your account, click on the Purchase Subscription link to the left of the Machine ID number on your Account Management page.

Select the subscription period from the Number of Days drop down menu.

Enter the required credit card information including the name as it appears on the card, the credit card number, the expiration date and the billing zip or postal code.

Click on the Purchase Subscription Days button to complete the transaction and create a new Activation Key.

Copy and paste the Activation Key as a text (*.txt) file onto a flash drive or some other device, or write down the Activation Key EXACTLY as it appears.

Return to the computer where the software is installed. Open the text file and copy and paste the Activation Key, or type the key into the Activate Purchased Subscription text box in the PCS Subscription dialog box. The key must be entered EXACTLY as it appeared on the web page.

Click on the Activate button to unlock the software for the selected period of time.

A message box will appear indicating the program has been successfully activated.

Click on the Close button to exit the dialog box.
