The Export command will allow
you to send a file to a different format such as an AutoCAD� DWG file.
To export a different file format:
Open a Pro Contractor Studio�
drawing file.
Select the Export
command from the File menu.
Click on the Export
(...) button to set the location, name and file type.
In the Save As
dialog box, change to the folder where the drawing file is to be located
on the computer.
Enter a new file name if necessary in the File
name text box.
Select the type of file to export to in the Save as type drop down list. Pro
Contractor Studio�
will export files with a .dwg
or .dxf extension.
Click on the Save
button.
In the Export Settings
area, to match the thickness of lines drawn in Pro Contractor Studio� with polylines in AutoCAD�, click on the Match
DWG polyline thickness with drawing checkbox with the left
mouse button until a checkmark appears in the box.
Enter a value in the Minimum
Thickness text box. No polylines will be drawn in AutoCAD� with a thickness less than
this value.
To prevent plant material fills from appearing in
the AutoCAD�
DWG file, click on the Disable Plant
Fills checkbox with the left mouse button until a checkmark
appears in the box
Click on the Export
Drawing button to export the drawing file.
Note:
If you have more than one drawing page, the Export
command will export the entities on the current or selected drawing
page.
The Export command will not export raster images inserted
onto the drawing.
Import AutoCAD�
DWG or DXF files using the Import command.
You may print the drawing
to an Adobe�
PDF file if you have a driver installed on your computer. You
may purchase a driver from Adobe�
or you may find another PDF driver by searching the Internet. Be
sure to adjust the paper orientation and size if necessary before
printing to the PDF format.
