Entity Snaps
Entity Snaps
Entity Snaps
The Entity Snaps feature will allow you to "snap" or "jump" onto an entity during the drafting process. You can jump onto virtually any entity on the design at either an endpoint, a point nearest to the cursor location, or a midpoint on the entity. For example, you can use the entity snap to draw a line to the center of a circle or to the midpoint of a line.
To snap to the nearest entity to the cursor location:
-
Drag the mouse cursor close to an entity on the design screen.
-
Press and hold down the Spacebar on the keyboard.
-
An icon will appear on the entity indicating the nearest location.
