How do I turn off the UAC?
The UAC is the Windows User Account Control found in Windows 11, 10, or 8.
To turn off the UAC:- On the Start screen, press the right mouse button anywhere on the Start screen and then click on All apps.
- On the Apps screen, swipe or scroll to the right and find the Windows System category.
- Press or click on the Control Panel icon under Windows System.
- A quicker method is to press the WIN and X keys together on the keyboard to access the Power User Menu which has a shortcut for Control Panel.
- Windows 8 will switch to the Desktop and open the Control Panel.
- Click on User Accounts and Family Safety.
- Click on User Accounts.
- Click on the link for Change User Account Control settings. Move the slider bar all the way to the bottom for Never notify.
- Click on the OK button.
Repeat the steps to turn the UAC back on.
